Fraser River Lodge is easily one of the top wedding venues in BC. Sitting on the Fraser River at the foot of Mt. Cheam, the lodge has an incredible view (perfect for the ‘outdoorsy’ couple), first class service, great food, a beautiful reception room…the list goes on, and on. But enough about the venue… it’s pretty easy to see how much Joyce and Art adore one another. This couple’s wedding day was laid back, relaxed, and truly heartwarming.
The bride and groom started off the day with a first look, and spent over two hours snapping photos both at Harrison Lake, and around the Fraser River Lodge property. The ceremony began in the late afternoon, and guests enjoyed the lodge as the sun slowly set. It was such a treat to have Colin Bullock playing during cocktail hour… live music makes all the difference and is so worth the extra cost (I can’t say that enough)!!
My very favourite thing on a wedding day is to sneak the couple out of the reception during sunset for 10 minutes of photos. Joyce and Art happily agreed and the photos, as always, turned out beautifully (something about sunset brings out the magic)!! Thank You, Thank You to Brittany from Epic Events for keeping us right on time all day long, to Kelsey Dickson and Nadia Bullock for the girls’ make-up and hair, Floralista for the flowers , and to Brent Sheppard for being the coolest officiant… oh, and watch for the wedding day video by Lucky Ones Media!
Without further adieu… Here are Joyce and Art’s wedding highlights!! Enjoy, and remember to leave them a comment in the comment section below!!
